Bonnie Sheldon opened The Pass School of Music 11 years ago as a way to create a strong musical community in Pass Christian, Mississippi. Eight musical events are offered throughout the school year, and students are challenged to perform. These events are not competitions, but rather evaluations. They are a way to encourage students to reach concrete goals throughout the year.

Bonnie Sheldon has been teaching private piano and violin for 19 years. Upon moving to Pass Christian in 2011, she opened The Pass School of Music.  Bonnie is a member of the Gulf Coast Teachers Association and encourages her students to participate in the many festivals, evaluations, recitals, and masterclasses offered throughout the year.  In 2013 Bonnie also formed The Pass Christian Community Orchestra which is a symphony orchestra of non-professional musicians.  It is for both children and adults.  In 2018 the Pass Christian School District implemented a choral program for both middle school and high school.  Mrs. Sheldon enjoys volunteering as an accompanist when her schedule will allow it! When Bonnie is not teaching she is spending time with her husband and two kids on a camping adventure.
